With the LA Galaxy, he scored 23 goals in 38 games. Nicknamed Chicharito, in the 2022 preseason, Javier assisted Kevin Cabral in a goal in a 4-0 win over New England Revolution in the 12th minute.

Regarded as the best American soccer player across the entire league, with the MVP award being named after him, Landon was one of LA Galaxy’s most consistent and strong players. He was the only athlete to make 50 goals and 50 assists on the national team.

During his MLS career, he earned an all-star award 13 times and six MLS Cups.

Their rivals include the Los Angeles FC, also a Los Angeles soccer team, but with no MLS Cups to the team’s name, Galaxians view this less as a rivalry and more of an aspiration on LAFC’s part.

Other rivals include the San Jose Earthquakes, with two MLS Cups, and the Seattle Sounders FC, also with two MLS Cups.
